Demons of the Reich • 2024 • 44 minutes
Joachim von Ribbentrop met the future Führer of the Third Reich in 1932 at a formal dinner in Berlin. The Ribbentrop family soon joined the Nazi Party. After becoming Reich Chancellor, Hitler tasked Ribbentrop with establishing unofficial contacts with diplomats of Western powers. In 1934, Ribbentrop founded and headed the “Office for Special Foreign Policy Affairs”, or the so-called “Ribbentrop Bureau”. Its staff were housed in the German Foreign Office building but reported exclusively to Adolf Hitler. As the Führer’s personal emissary, Ribbentrop visited France, England, and Italy. Long-standing ties with major industrialists and aristocrats opened doors for him in the highest government cabinets of European capitals. Turning the West against the Hitler Reich, Ribbentrop then shifted his focus to the East. In spring 1940, he stated that the Soviet Union could join the Tripartite Pact of Germany, Italy, and Japan. For talks, Ribbentrop invited the top Soviet leadership to Berlin. Yuri Emelyanov: “Ribbentrop is a man who, by his position, must bear one of the principal responsibilities for the crimes of the German regime. He signed agreements that were doomed to non-fulfillment. He knowingly deceived these people. He was fully aware of Nazi crimes but did nothing to stop them. In many ways, he was a very limited man”.
Joseph Goebbels Dubbing on request
Demons of the Reich • 2024 • 44 minutes
Joseph Goebbels liked to call himself an “artist of propaganda”. He considered manipulating people’s minds a true art. In May 1933, he organized his first large-scale propaganda campaign. Bonfires were lit in 70 German cities, and Nazi youth threw books by Karl Marx, Thomas Mann, Maxim Gorky, Lion Feuchtwanger, and other renowned writers into the flames. Goebbels described this intellectual inquisition as an “action against the non-German spirit”. Joseph Goebbels was the creator and long-time head of the Third Reich’s Ministry of Propaganda. Contemporaries regarded him as Hitler’s most ingenious and treacherous henchman. The power Goebbels wielded over the feelings and minds of millions of Germans astonished, if not shocked, many.
Heinrich Himmler Dubbing on request
Demons of the Reich • 2024 • 44 minutes
Heinrich Himmler called the SS the “racial vanguard of the German people”. Unlike Adolf Hitler and other Reich leaders, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler was fascinated from a young age by mysticism and occultism. He devoured books on astrology, hypnosis, and telepathy, believed in reincarnation, and thought he could contact the souls of the dead. Himmler considered himself a reincarnation of the medieval German king Henry I the Fowler. Heinrich Himmler headed the entire police and punitive apparatus of the Hitler regime. In addition to SS organizations and troops, he alone oversaw the Gestapo, prisons, and concentration camps of Nazi Germany. He was also responsible for policies of German colonization in occupied territories and the extermination of non-Aryan populations across Europe. The total number of victims of the monstrous system of terror led by Himmler numbers in the tens of millions.

Demons of the Reich • 2024 • 44 minutes

This film is about Adolf Hitler — his life and the German society that allowed one man to rule them, thereby violating their rights and freedoms. Adolf Hitler liked to compare the Nazi Party to the Catholic Church, likening himself to an infallible pope and his Gauleiters to bishops and cardinals. National Socialism also had its own Bible. Hitler’s autobiography, Mein Kampf, was published in the Third Reich with print runs of millions annually. After World War II, Mein Kampf was deemed extremist and banned in most countries. Despite this, in the early 21st century, Hitler’s autobiography was repeatedly reissued in Turkey, Japan, and Germany. In 2015, the ban on publishing Mein Kampf was lifted in Ukraine. The following year, Adolf Hitler’s work became a bestseller in the Ukrainian book market.

Hermann Göring Dubbing on request
Demons of the Reich • 2024 • 44 minutes
In Nazi Germany, Göring was called the “Iron Reichsmarschall”. In terms of awards, ranks, and titles, he had no equal. In the 1930s, he simultaneously served as President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Prussia, Minister of Aviation, Chief Imperial Forester, Commissioner for the Four-Year Plan, and was Hitler’s trusted man on foreign policy matters. In 1940, Göring was granted the rank of Reichsmarschall, created especially for him, making him the highest commander of the German armed forces. Countless parades, reviews, and ceremonial events featuring Göring turned into pompous shows watched with interest by millions of Germans. The fateful year for Hermann Göring was 1943. The defeat of German forces at Stalingrad dashed Hitler’s expansionist plans. The Führer blamed Göring entirely for the Stalingrad disaster, as his air fleet failed to establish reliable supply lines for the encircled army of Paulus.
