Andrey Ponkratov travels to the deepest reaches of Spain’s Catalonia — the small town of Montblanc — to immerse himself in genuine dark Medieval times. Here live people who, while enjoying all the benefits of modern life, mobile phones and the internet, still believe in spirits, dragons and other wicked beings. Once a year, in April, they cleanse their ancient town of the ghosts of the dark ages and kill the dragon to start the life cycle anew.
